Subject: The best thing in life is... | Thursday, November 16, 2006
The best thing in life is being on stage. Most people would probably find this strange coming from me. Since I was about nine years old theatre has astonished me. Come to think of it, I was even younger. When I was five years old I was a ballerina, later finding out I hated it. A few years later I started dancing again and only ballet for the mandatory fact to compete. I also started doing a summer program called Dover Rec. We planned out and rehearsed a show for a month to a month and a half and pulled it all together with the other kids and teenagers. Our shows varied in singing and dancing. One year we did the production of "Annie".

Being on stage creates a new character for you. The bright lights and audience filled to capacity are amazing. I guess you have to enjoy life of theatre to understand where I am coming from to enjoy it as much as I do. As stressful as tech week always was I seemed to enjoy it the most. The high and rush of perfection for the show and the running around amused me. I never realized how much I loved theatre until I stopped doing it in intermediate school.

No matter how bad you are and how uncoordinated you are I highly recommend you try theatre...Just try it.

"For me, it's about leaving every last drop of myself on stage."
