Childhood memories are a precious thing and unfortunately many of us lose them as we get older and time goes on. Childhood varies from a scraped knee to learning to ride a bike which may be where you got that scraped knee from. To be completely honest, scraping a knee was something I did a lot when I was young. I was, and still am a total klutz. I'm okay with that too.
Think about it. It's a late afternoon. I couldn't be more than seven years old. The day was gorgeous. It was a sweet autumn day and perfect. The day didn't call for anything more than a sweatshirt. Side walk chalk was the cool thing to have back in the day and I had every color known to the world. Mom sat outside on the front porch in a chair most of the time. I sat on the sidewalk coloring and drawing. A personal favorite of mine when it came to side walk chalk was to make a hop scotch board. So, there I was playing hop scotch, and me being the klutz I am, my shoe was untied. BOOM! My hop scotch board was no longer perfect, for my pants had now smeared it. As soon as I hit the ground I could feel the water works begin. Tear after tear ran down my face. I screamed like a wild child. Super Mom came running to my rescue as fast as she could since the first thing I did was scream "MOMMY!!!!!!" The blood came oozing out of my knee and went through my pants. After being carried to the bathroom I came in contact with the evil peroxide. You would think after falling so much, I would be use to the terrible sensation and burn of this evil substance. Of course, I was not. With a wash cloth she wiped the blood off my cut up knee. The cotton ball with a puddle worth of peroxide touched my knee. I screamed as the burning entered my wound. This injury called for a Barbie band aid. After a band aid was put on my knee my mom gave me a hug. The sweet smell of her perfume let me know everything would be okay.
That is VERY true. I like the ideas you posted. Its a shame we all try to go up so quickly! We only have a SHORT time to be young. Might as well enjoy it.
